Romana’s Pilates International teacher training program

The RPI teacher training program is an intensive commitment to excellence.

Romana’s Pilates International is the original classical Pilates program, passed on directly by Joseph and Clara Pilates to Romana Kryzanowska and her family. Today it is taught globally, by many successful teachers. As the New England training center we are proud to offer the world’s most comprehensive and rigorous Pilates Teacher Training Program. We closely collaborate with the other training centers in the area (NY, NJ) and foster a strong connection to Global Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

WE ARE NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR SUMMER 2027 GROUP OF STUDENTS

Interested students are required to take a pre-assessment with a teacher trainer to begin preparing for the program. Students entering the program will need to show proficiency with all apparatus at the intermediate to advanced level.

Prior to attending the Basic Seminar, applicants are required to pass a comprehensive entrance exam encompassing a performance workout of the entire RPI intermediate reformer and mat work, as well as some of the other Pilates equipment. Typically, students have completed a minimum of 60+ hours of Pilates training under the guidance of a qualified instructor before entering the. program. To support this preparation, LYON Pilates offers dedicated prep groups and lessons - interested students should contact the studio to find a group that matches their current skill level. Due to our commitment to excellent groups are limited to 6 students.

Students should consider this a serious educational investment. Once in the program they will be required to attend the mandatory student meeting Thursdays 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm, as well as practice-teach, self-practice and observe for an additional minimum of 15 in-studio hours, per week once the program begins. Students are required a minimum of 600 hours to graduate and encouraged to take weekly lessons and group classes. The average duration of the program is 12-18 months depending on student schedule.
